#6 Booth rent · the ledger owners never had
Booth rent tracking software that keeps every renter square
getbarberpos includes booth rent tracking software as a real ledger, not a spreadsheet on the side. Set rent per renter, a weekly or monthly cycle and a due day. Every payment gets a receipt, and the ledger shows paid, late and partial at a glance, while renters keep their own book private.

One row per renter, per cycle
Name, booth, cycle dates, rent due, amount paid, deductions and balance, all on one line you can scan in seconds.
- 02
Paid, partial, late badges
Color-coded status for each cycle. A renter who paid half on time shows partial, not paid, until the rest comes in.
- 03
Running balance
If a renter carries a balance from last week, it rolls forward and shows on this week's line, so there's no 'I thought we were even.'
- 04
Receipt history
Every receipt you've issued a renter, in date order, ready to reprint if they lose one or need it for their taxes.
- 05
Rent collected this month
A total of rent actually collected against rent due, which is the number booth-rent owners care about most.
Who actually owes you rent this week?
Most booth rental shops track rent in a notebook, a notes app or a group chat. One renter pays cash on Tuesday, another sends half by app on Friday and says the rest is coming, a third is two weeks behind and you're not sure if it's two or three. By the end of the month nobody's numbers match.
It gets worse when rent and money mix. Some shops take rent straight out of what a renter's clients paid at the front desk. Some charge a product fee or a towel fee on top. If those deductions live in your head, every disagreement turns into your word against theirs.
Renters also don't want you in their business. They're running their own book, their own clients, their own prices. The tool has to let you see the rent without seeing their whole day.

How does booth rent get tracked from setup to receipt?
Enter the renter, their chair or booth, the rent amount and whether it's weekly or monthly. Different renters can have different amounts and cycles.
Pick the day rent is due, like every Monday or the 1st of the month. getbarberpos opens a new rent line for every cycle automatically.
When a renter pays, record cash, card through your processor, or a transfer. Pay the full amount or part of it; the ledger keeps the balance.
If you take rent out of front-desk takings or charge a product or supply fee, add it as a deduction line on that renter's cycle, with a note.
Each payment produces a receipt you can print, text or email. The renter has proof, and so do you.
The ledger shows every renter as paid, partial or late. Late ones float to the top with the number of days overdue.

Booth rent tracking: questions owners ask
Q01Can each booth renter have a different rent amount?
Yes. Rent is set per renter, so a senior barber at the window chair can pay more than someone in the back. You can also change the amount from a future date without rewriting history.
Q02Does the booth rent ledger handle weekly and monthly renters at the same time?
Yes. Each renter has their own cycle and due day. A weekly renter due Monday and a monthly renter due on the 1st sit in the same ledger.
Q03What happens when a renter pays only part of the rent?
Record what they paid and the cycle shows as partial with the balance owed. When they pay the rest, it goes against the same cycle and flips to paid.
Q04Can renters see their own rent history?
Yes. A renter who logs in can see their own rent lines and receipts. They can't see other renters' rent, and you don't see their client list or prices unless they share it.
Q05Can I take rent out of money a renter's clients paid at my front desk?
You can add that as a deduction on the renter's cycle with a note, so the ledger shows rent covered from takings. Agree that arrangement in writing with the renter first.
Q06Do booth renters get a receipt for every payment?
Every recorded payment produces a receipt you can print, text or email. Renters often need these at tax time, and it settles disputes later.
Q07Can I see total rent collected for the year?
The rent reports show collected versus due by week, month or any date range, and you can export them to CSV for your bookkeeper.
Q08How is the typical booth rent range on this page worked out?
The weekly range is a typical figure quoted in trade guides for large US metros, not data we collected. Rents vary a lot by city and shop, so use your own local numbers.
