getbarberpos is built for barbershops, and barbershops are run by and for all kinds of people. Some of our customers and their staff use screen readers, read in Arabic or Urdu, need bigger text, or get dizzy from moving graphics. We want getbarberpos.com and the hosted POS to work for all of them.
This statement covers the getbarberpos.com website, operated by SOHOON Technologies. It was last updated on October 18, 2026.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. WCAG is the international standard for accessible websites. Level AA covers things like color contrast, keyboard access, text alternatives for images, clear focus indicators, readable labels on forms and content that works when zoomed.
We say “aim” because accessibility is ongoing work, not a box ticked once. We have not had a formal third-party audit, and we do not claim certification. We test as we build and fix problems as we find them.
Built-in accessibility settings
Every page has an accessibility panel you can open from the site’s accessibility button. It lets you change how the site looks and behaves for you. Your choices are saved on your device only (see our Cookie Policy).
- Theme. Switch between light and dark mode. By default, we follow your device setting.
- High contrast. Raises the contrast of text, borders and buttons beyond our normal palette.
- Text size. Make text larger across the whole site without breaking the layout.
- Reduced motion. Stops animations and transitions. We also follow your device’s “reduce motion” setting automatically.
- Link highlighting. Underlines and outlines every link so they are easy to spot.
How the site is built
Beyond the panel, we build for accessibility from the start:
- Keyboard navigation. You can reach every link, button, menu and form field with the Tab key, and use them with Enter or Space. Menus close with Escape. A “Skip to content” link is the first thing you reach on every page.
- Visible focus. When you tab through the page, the focused element has a clear outline.
- Headings and landmarks. Pages use a logical heading order and standard regions (header, navigation, main, footer) so screen reader users can jump around.
- Text alternatives. Meaningful images have alt text. Decorative images and icons are hidden from screen readers so they do not add noise.
- Forms. Every field has a visible label. Errors are described in text, not color alone, and are announced to screen readers.
- Color. We do not rely on color alone to carry meaning. Text and controls are designed to meet AA contrast ratios in both light and dark mode.
- Zoom and reflow. Pages work at 200 percent zoom and on narrow phone screens without sideways scrolling.
- Touch targets. Buttons and links are sized to be easy to tap on a phone or tablet behind the chair.
- Right-to-left languages. Arabic and Urdu pages switch to a right-to-left layout, with text, menus and icons mirrored where it makes sense, and the correct language set for screen readers.
The hosted POS
The getbarberpos app that shops log into is a separate product. It runs in the browser, supports keyboard use, and ships with English, Arabic, Urdu and Spanish translations, plus custom translations you can edit. Some screens, particularly older reports and complex tables, may not yet meet every AA criterion. We are working through them. If a screen in the app gets in your way, tell us and we will look at it and help you find a workaround in the meantime.
Known limitations
We would rather tell you about problems than hide them. These are the ones we know about:
- Hair-trim animation. Some pages show an animated canvas drawing of a haircut. It is decorative only and carries no information. It is hidden from screen readers. When reduced motion is on, either in our panel or your device settings, a static image is shown instead.
- Third-party embeds. Some features rely on content we do not fully control, such as the Cloudflare Turnstile bot check on forms, booking calendars and maps. We pick providers that care about accessibility, but we cannot fix their code. If an embed blocks you, contact us another way (below) and we will help directly.
- Linked documents. Some downloadable files and sources on other websites may not be fully accessible.
- Prices and figures are filled in automatically from our pricing data. If any number reads out wrong with your screen reader, tell us.
Compatibility
The site is designed for recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on desktop and mobile, and for common screen readers such as VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), NVDA (Windows) and TalkBack (Android). Older browsers may work but are not a focus.
Report a problem
If something on our site or app is hard to use, we want to know. Tell us:
- the page address, or which screen in the app;
- what you were trying to do;
- what went wrong;
- the device, browser and any assistive technology you use (if you are comfortable sharing).
You can reach us by:
- Form: use the form on our contact page. Choose the topic that fits best and mention “accessibility” in your message.
- Email: .
If our form itself is the problem, email is the backup. If email is a problem, ask anyone to contact us on your behalf.
Response time
We reply to accessibility reports within 5 business days. Our reply will either fix the issue, give a date for the fix, or explain the limitation and offer another way to get what you need, such as sending information in a different format or walking you through a task on a call.
Ongoing work
Every new page and feature is checked for keyboard use, contrast, labels and screen reader output before it goes live. We review this statement when the site changes in a meaningful way and at least once a year.
