#8 Why one system

Why do barbershops end up with four apps and a notebook?

Because no single tool was built for how a shop really runs. A booking app for appointments, a sign-in sheet for walk-ins, a card reader for payments, a notebook for booth rent and a group chat for tips. getbarberpos puts all of it on one screen.

#6 The walk-in floor

How do you run walk-ins without the shouting?

Clients check in at the door or by scanning a code on the mirror. They pick “anyone” or a named barber. The board works out waits from the services already ahead of them, and tells the next client by text or WhatsApp through your messaging provider.

  • Any-barber and pick-a-barber in one line
  • Appointments slot in without breaking the order
  • Left-without-a-cut is recorded, not forgotten

#4 Chair & booth money

Who paid booth rent this week?

Each renter has an amount, a weekly or monthly cycle and a due day. The ledger shows paid, partial and late at a glance, and sends a receipt when rent comes in. In big US metros, weekly booth rent is often quoted between $150–$400 — that is a lot of money to track in a notebook.

Range quoted in trade guides; your shop's own numbers will differ.

#3 Tips & commission

Every barber's tips and cut, to the cent.

Card tips land on the barber who did the cut. Cash tips get one tap. Commission splits per service and per product, or rent plus commission for hybrid shops. At close, one payout sheet.

One full turn of the chair · 5 steps

Sign up to first cut in about twenty minutes

Your online store is generated from the products you add — there is no separate store to build. Times are our estimates for a five-barber shop typing in by hand.

  1. Name the shop, pick your country. Currency, tax and receipt language set themselves to match.

  2. Opening hours, chairs and barbers. Mark who rents a booth and who works on commission.

  3. Fade, taper, lineup, beard, kids cut — with durations. Scan the pomade and oils on your shelf.

  4. Every product you saved is already on your online store, with price, photo and stock.

  5. Walk-ins check in, the board fills, tips and rent land in the right column.

FAQ · 10 questions

Barbershop POS questions, answered straight

Q01What is the best POS for a barbershop?

The best barbershop POS handles the four things a shop actually juggles: walk-ins, appointments, how barbers get paid (booth rent, commission or both) and tips. getbarberpos does all four in one screen, priced flat per shop rather than per barber.

Q02How much does getbarberpos cost?

Plans start at $15 a month for one chair, $39 for a full shop of up to 10 chairs and $89 for multi-shop owners in the US. UAE and Pakistan have their own local prices in AED and PKR. Annual billing gives 2 months free.

Q03Does it charge per barber?

No. Every plan is a flat price per shop. Adding a barber or a booth renter does not change your bill until you pass the chair limit of your plan.

Q04Can it track booth rent for chair renters?

Yes. Each renter gets a rent amount, a weekly or monthly cycle and a due day. The ledger shows paid, partial and late, and sends receipts. Renters can run their own appointments while you only see the rent.

Q05How does the walk-in queue work?

Clients check in on a tablet at the door or by scanning a code, choose any barber or a specific one, and land on a live board. The board estimates waits from the services already ahead of them, and the next client can be told by text or WhatsApp through your messaging provider.

Q06Do I need special hardware?

No. It runs in the browser on a tablet, laptop or phone. Receipt printers, cash drawers and barcode scanners work if you want them, and card readers come from your own payment processor.

Q07Do you process my card payments?

No. getbarberpos works with your card processor and records the payment, tip and split. We add no markup on card fees and take no commission on new clients.

Q08Is my online store really built automatically?

Yes. When you add products to your catalogue, your online store is generated from them with prices, photos and stock. If you want a full barbershop website on top, we build and run one for you as the managed website option.

Q09Can my staff use it in Arabic, Urdu or Spanish?

Yes. The interface and receipts run in English, Arabic, Urdu or Spanish, and you can edit any wording as a custom translation.

Q10Can I move my clients from Booksy, SQUIRE or Square?

Yes. Export your client and product lists as CSV from your current app and import them. We help with the first import for free on a switching call.
