Hardware questions
Q01What hardware does a barbershop POS need?
Only a tablet, laptop or phone with a browser. Add a card reader from your processor to take cards, and a receipt printer and cash drawer if you take cash. Scanners and label printers are optional for retail.
Q02Do you sell hardware?
No. We list what works and you buy from any retailer or your processor. That keeps prices honest and lets you use what you already own.
Q03Which card readers work?
Readers are supplied by your payment processor. Ask them which models work with their account; getbarberpos records the payment and tip either way.
Q04Can I use my phone as the register?
Yes. The interface works on phones, which suits solo barbers and booth renters.
Q05Does it work with my existing receipt printer?
Most 80 mm thermal printers that print from a browser work. Test it during the free trial before buying anything.
Q06What about load-shedding in Pakistan?
The system needs internet. Keep the router and tablet on a UPS so a power cut doesn’t stop checkout.
Q07Do I need a separate tablet for walk-in check-in?
It helps on busy days. Otherwise clients can check in by scanning a QR code with their own phone.
Q08Can receipts print in Arabic or Urdu?
Yes, from printers that print from the browser. Test the font on your model during the trial.
