getbarberpos is a shared, hosted service. Many barbershops use the same platform, so what one account does can affect everyone else. This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you can and cannot do with getbarberpos, the hosted barbershop POS operated by SOHOON Technologies.
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to every merchant account, every staff login on that account, and anyone else you let use the service. You are responsible for making sure your team follows it.

What getbarberpos is for
Use getbarberpos to run a lawful barbershop, gents salon or similar grooming business: taking walk-ins and appointments, selling services and products, tracking booth rent, tips and commission, managing staff and keeping client records. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask us at before you do it.
No unlawful goods or services
Do not use getbarberpos, your booking page or your online store to sell, promote or record:
- anything illegal where you or your customers are located;
- prescription drugs, controlled substances or drug paraphernalia;
- weapons, explosives or related items where restricted;
- counterfeit or stolen goods, or products that infringe someone’s trademark or copyright;
- services that require a licence you do not hold, such as medical or cosmetic procedures beyond your licence;
- adult content or services, gambling, or anything connected to human trafficking or exploitation.
Your shop must also follow local rules on business hours, pricing display, tax and product safety.
No spam or unwanted messages
getbarberpos helps you keep in touch with clients. Do it the right way:
- Only send marketing texts, WhatsApp messages or emails to people who have agreed to receive them.
- Honor opt-outs straight away.
- Do not buy, rent or scrape contact lists and load them into the app.
- Follow the messaging laws in your market, such as the TCPA and CAN-SPAM in the US, and telecom rules in the UAE and Pakistan.
- Follow the rules of your messaging provider. Reminders go out through your own SMS, WhatsApp or email provider, and they can shut off accounts that send spam.
No card numbers in notes or free-text fields
getbarberpos works with your card processor. Card data belongs with the processor, not in the POS.
- Never type full card numbers, expiry dates, security codes (CVV) or PINs into client notes, sale notes, custom fields, product descriptions, messages or any other free-text field.
- Do not upload photos or scans of cards.
- Do not store bank login details, passwords or government ID numbers in notes unless the law requires you to keep them and there is a field designed for it.
If you find card data in your account, delete it and tell us so we can help clean up backups.
Respect staff and client data
Your account holds personal data about your barbers, booth renters and clients. Treat it with care.
- Only collect what you need to run the shop.
- Use staff roles and permissions so people see only what their job needs. A barber does not need to see every other barber’s payout.
- Do not use client or staff data to harass, discriminate against, stalk or threaten anyone.
- Do not use attendance, location or HRM data to monitor staff in ways the law does not allow.
- Do not share client lists with other businesses or sell them.
- Do not store sensitive details, such as health conditions, religion or immigration status, unless you truly need them and the law allows it.
- Remove access for staff who leave, and handle their data as your local law requires.
- Respond to your clients’ privacy requests. See Data Requests.
No attacks on the platform
Do not try to break, overload or get around the security of getbarberpos. That includes:
- trying to access another shop’s account, data or online store;
- probing, scanning or testing for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
- getting around login, permission, rate limits or plan limits;
- uploading viruses, malware or harmful code;
- flooding the service with automated requests, or using bots or scrapers on the app or the website;
- reverse engineering, copying or decompiling the software, except where the law expressly allows it;
- interfering with other customers’ use of the service.
Found a security issue? We want to hear about it. Report it to with enough detail for us to reproduce it. Do not access or change data that is not yours, and give us reasonable time to fix it before telling anyone else. Good-faith reports made this way will not be treated as a breach of this policy.
No reselling without a partner agreement
Your subscription is for your own business and locations.
- Do not resell, sublicense, rent or white-label getbarberpos, or run it as a service for other businesses, without a written partner agreement with us.
- Do not share one account between unrelated shops to avoid buying more locations.
- If you are an agency, consultant or reseller and want to offer getbarberpos to your clients, see our Partners page or write to .
Online store and booking page content
Your online store and booking page are public. Whatever you publish there must:
- be accurate, including prices, product descriptions and service times;
- use photos and text you own or have permission to use;
- not be misleading, hateful, harassing or obscene;
- not impersonate another business or person.
We may remove content that breaks this policy or that is the subject of a valid copyright complaint (see our Terms of Service).
Fair use of resources
Plans are sized for normal barbershop use. Very heavy use, such as massive bulk imports run over and over, storing large files that have nothing to do with the shop, or automated activity far beyond what a real shop generates, can slow the platform for everyone. If your use is affecting others, we will contact you to find a fix, such as a different plan or a better way to run the task.
What happens if the policy is broken
If we believe an account is breaking this policy, we may:
- contact you and ask you to fix it;
- remove or disable specific content;
- temporarily limit features, such as messaging or the online store;
- suspend the account;
- close the account in serious or repeated cases.
Where it is reasonable and safe, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. If there is a risk to other customers, the platform or the public, or if the law requires it, we may act straight away. We may report illegal activity to the authorities.
Refunds for accounts closed under this policy are covered in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Reporting misuse
If you see a getbarberpos account, store or booking page being used in a way that breaks this policy, tell us at or through our contact page. Include the store name or page address and what you saw. We review every report.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service and the law change. We update the date at the top, and we will tell merchants about significant changes before they apply.
