We write about running a barbershop: booth rent, tips, commission, walk-ins, sales tax and VAT, payroll basics and more. Everything we publish is general information to help you think things through. It is not tax, legal, accounting or financial advice, and it is not tailored to your shop.
The rules for barbershops change from place to place. A booth renter in Atlanta, a gents salon in Dubai and a shop in Lahore face very different tax, licensing and labor rules. Even inside one country, states, emirates and provinces set their own.
Before you make a decision based on something you read here, especially about:
- how to classify a barber (employee, contractor or booth renter),
- how to report or share tips,
- what sales tax or VAT to charge,
- payroll, minimum wage or overtime,
- business licences and permits,
confirm it with a qualified accountant, lawyer or the relevant authority. Accuracy and dates
We work hard to keep our content correct and current, and we put dates on pages that rely on facts that change. But rules, rates and prices move, and a page can go out of date between reviews. We do not promise that every page is complete, accurate or current on the day you read it.
If you spot something wrong, tell us at and we will check it and fix it.
Competitor prices and comparisons
Our comparison and alternatives pages mention other barbershop and salon software. When we quote a competitor’s price:
- it is a public list price we found on the date shown on the page, from the source we link to;
- it may not include taxes, add-ons, payment processing fees or regional differences;
- it may not reflect discounts, promotions or custom deals that company offers;
- it may have changed since we checked.
Always check the competitor’s own website for their current pricing and terms before deciding. We try to be fair in every comparison: we describe what other products do well, not only where we think we are different. If you work for one of these companies and think we have something wrong, contact us and we will review it.
Examples, calculators and estimates
Examples on our site, such as a “six-chair shop with two booth renters” or a sample month of tips, are illustrative. They are made up to show how something works. They are not real customers, and they are not a promise of results.
Our savings calculator and other estimates give rough numbers based on what you enter and on assumptions we explain on the page. Your actual costs and savings will depend on your shop, your current tools, your processor fees and how you use the software.
Screenshots and demos may show sample data and may differ slightly from the current version of the app.
Product capabilities
We describe what getbarberpos does as accurately as we can. The full terms of the service, including what we do and do not promise, are in our Terms of Service. If a page here and the Terms disagree, the Terms win.
Software reports and calculations, such as tip totals, booth rent balances, commission and tax, depend on the settings and data you put in. Check them before you rely on them for filing taxes or paying staff.
Third-party processors and tools
getbarberpos works with your card processor. We do not process card payments ourselves, and we are not a bank or payment company. When we say the app “works with” a processor, a messaging provider, a printer or other hardware, we mean you can use them alongside getbarberpos. It does not mean that company endorses us or that we are partners.
Payment methods used in Pakistan, such as JazzCash and Easypaisa, can be recorded in the app as custom payment methods. The money moves through those services under your own account with them, not through us.
Each third-party service has its own terms, fees and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their services, outages or changes.

Some pages link to other websites, such as sources for prices and regulations. We link to them because they are useful, but we do not control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
No affiliate links
Right now, getbarberpos.com does not contain affiliate links. We do not earn a commission when you click a link to another company or buy something from them.
Some links point to other sites in our own family of products, which we openly label. If we ever add affiliate links, we will add a clear affiliate disclosure to this page and next to the links themselves.
No testimonials or reviews unless real
We do not publish made-up testimonials or reviews. If we show customer stories in future, they will be from real customers, with their permission.
