Add your shop location and opening hours

Set up your shop location in getbarberpos with address, contact details, opening hours, invoice layout and payment methods, plus extra locations.

At the end of this article your shop location will have its address, phone, opening hours, invoice layout and the payment methods you accept. Receipts will print the right address, online bookings will only offer times when you are open, and reports will split sales by shop if you run more than one.

Before you start

  • Business settings are done. See Business settings: currency, tax rates and receipt details.
  • The shop’s street address, city and phone number.
  • Your opening hours for each day, including the day you close (many US shops close Mondays; many Pakistan shops take a Friday break for Jummah).
  • A list of the ways clients pay you: cash, card through your processor, Apple Pay, JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank transfer and so on.

Steps

  1. Open locations. Go to Settings → Business locations. You will see the location created at sign-up.
  2. Edit the location. Click Edit. Fill in the name clients know you by (for example “Main Street”), the address, city, state or emirate, postal code and phone.
  3. Set the location ID. Give it a short code like “MAIN” or “DXB1”. This shows on reports and receipts so you can tell shops apart.
  4. Pick the invoice layout and scheme. Choose the receipt layout you made in the last article and an invoice numbering scheme. A prefix per shop (for example “MAIN-”) keeps receipt numbers clear.
  5. Set payment methods. In the payment methods section, tick the methods this shop accepts. Card payments go through your own card processor; getbarberpos records the payment, it does not process the card. For JazzCash, Easypaisa or Raast, add them as custom payment methods under Settings → Business settings → Payment first, then tick them here.
  6. Link payment accounts. If you track cash and bank separately, link each method to an account from Payment accounts. This makes end-of-day counts easier.
  7. Set opening hours. Go to Bookings → Settings (or the hours tab on the location) and enter open and close times for each day. Mark closed days as closed.
  8. Add holidays. Block dates you will be shut, such as Eid or Christmas, so the booking page does not offer them.
  9. Add another shop (Multi-Shop). Click Add on the Business locations page and repeat the steps. See multi-location for how stock and reports work across shops.

Common mistakes

  • Leaving the sign-up default name. Clients see the location name on receipts and the booking page. Use the real one.
  • Not adding custom payment methods. If JazzCash payments are rung up as “cash”, your cash drawer will never balance.
  • Wrong hours on the booking page. Clients will book times you are closed. Check hours every time they change.
  • Same invoice prefix for two shops. Receipt numbers will look like duplicates. Use a prefix per location.
  • Forgetting the phone number. Clients call the number on the receipt when they lose a card or want to rebook.

Quick answers

Q01Do I need to add a location if I only have one shop?

Your first location is created when you sign up. You still need to open it and fill in the address, hours and payment methods so receipts and booking times are right.

Q02How many locations can I have?

It depends on your plan. Multi-Shop includes several locations and you can add more for an extra monthly fee. See the pricing page for the numbers in your country.

Q03Can each location have its own prices and tax?

Yes. On Multi-Shop you can set prices and tax rates per shop, which helps when two shops sit in different tax areas.

Q04Do opening hours affect online booking?

Yes. Clients can only pick appointment times inside the hours you set, so keep them up to date for holidays.

Q05Can a barber work at two shops?

Yes. When you add the barber, give them access to both locations.
